East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of March 28:
- Install permanent traffic control at Station 1, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 20
- Construct restroom, install Vehicle Charger Foundation and conduit at Station 1
- Install shelter lighting at Stations 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
- WE Energies Boring at Station 8
- Remove sidewalk at Stations 15, 17
- Install docking guide strip at Station 17
- Grade, stake curb ramps, and install sidewalk at Station 20
- Remove concrete pavement, common excavation and subgrade, and install base course at Station 21
Week of April 4:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 28, 33
- Construct restroom, grade, and install conduit at Station 1
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter, install 12” pavement at Stations 11, 12, 13, 15
- Install sidewalk at Stations 11, 12, 13, 15, 20
- Install shelter at Stations 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Install median nose at Station 15
- Sewer work and install conduit at Station 21
- Install base course at Stations 21, 28, 33
- Survey platform at Stations 21, 33
- Install inlet protection at Station 28
- Sawcutting, remove concrete pavement, and common excavation and subgrade at Stations 28, 33
Week of April 11:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 21
