East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of April 11:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 32
- Construct restroom, grade, survey staking, and install conduit at Station 1
- Install glass and railings at Stations 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19
- WE Energies boring at Station 8
- Install sidewalk at Stations 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 20
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter & install 12” pavement and median nose at Station 15
- Install shelter at Stations 15, 17, 18, 20
- Common excavation and subgrade & install base course at Stations 28, 32, 33
- Sawcutting and survey platform at Station 32
- Remove concrete pavement at Stations 32, 33
- Install conduit and relocate city street lighting at Station 33
Week of April 18:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 21
- Construct restroom, grade, and form platform at Station 1
- Survey staking at Stations 1, 2
- Install conduit at Stations 1, 21, 28, 33
- Install erosion control at Station 2
- Install daily traffic control & glass and railings at Stations 19, 20
- Sewer work at Station 21
- Survey platform at Stations 21, 28, 33
Week of April 25:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 2, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 30, 31
- Construct restroom, survey staking, and pour platform at Station 1
- Install snowmelt cable at Stations 1, 33
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter at Station 1
- Sawcutting at Stations 2, 30, 31
- Install conduit at Stations 21, 33
