East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of April 18:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 8, 19, 20, 32, 33
- Construct restroom, grade, and form platform at Station 1
- Survey Staking at Stations 1, 2
- Install conduit at Stations 1, 28, 33
- Install erosion control at Station 2
- WE Energies boring at Station 8
- Install glass and railings at Stations 19, 20
- Sewer work at Station 21
- Survey platform at Stations 28, 33
- Common excavation and subgrade & install base course at Station 32
- Stump grinding at Station 33
Week of April 25:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 2, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 8, 13, 16, 32, 33
- Northbound and Southbound inside lane closure at Station 13
- Construct restroom, survey staking, install snowmelt cable, pour platform, & form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 1
- Sawcutting at Stations 2, 16, 32, 33
- Survey staking, remove concrete pavement, common excavation and subgrade, install base course, install platform conduit at Station 2
- WE Energies boring at Station 8
- Restoration at Stations 8, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17
- Sawcut median crossover, median removal, and median stone at Station 13
- Install sidewalk at Station 17
- Sewer work at Station 21
- Survey platform at Stations 21, 32
- Install conduit at Stations 21, 33
- Install snowmelt cable at Station 33
Week of May 2:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 2, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 32, 33
- Northbound and Southbound inside lane closure and pave median at Station 13
- Construct restroom, install pavement, install sidewalk at Station 1
- Survey staking, install platform conduit, grade, form platform, and install snowmelt at Station 2
- Install conduit at Station 21
