East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of April 25:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 8, 17, 32, 33
- Construct restroom, form platform, install snowmelt cable, and pour platform at Station 1
- Survey staking at Station 2
- WE Energies boring at Station 8
- Restoration at Stations 8, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17
- Northbound and Southbound inside lane closure and sawcut median crossover at Station 13
- Sewer work, boring street lights, and platform survey at Station 21
- Sawcut Stations 32, 33
- Steel encasement at Station 32
- Stump grinding at Station 33
Week of May 2:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 2, 13, 21
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 32, 33
- Construct restroom, survey staking, pour platform, install pavement & form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 1
- Sawcut, survey staking, remove concrete pavement, install base course, common excavation and subgrade Station 2
- Northbound and Southbound inside lane closure, median removals, and install median stone at Station 13
- Install conduit at Stations 21, 28, 33
- Survey platform at Stations 28, 32, 33
- Street Light Termination at Station 28
- Install street light conduit at Station 32
- City Street Lighting Relocate at Station 33
Week of May 9:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 2, 13
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 32, 33
- Construct restroom, install pavement, and install sidewalk at Station 1
- Survey Staking, install platform conduit, form platform and grade Station 2
- Northbound and Southbound inside lane closure, pave median, install temp pavement markings, remove concrete pavement, common excavation and subgrade at Station 13
- Grade Stations 28, 32
- Form platform at Stations 28, 32, 33
- Install conduit at Station 28
- Install platform conduit at Station 32
- Install snowmelt cable at Station 33
