East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below:
Week of Aug. 9:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
- Form platform at Stations 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes and grounding ring at Stations 3, 5, 6
- Install conduit at Station 7
- Regrade Station 8
- Install We-Energies/City Electric conduit at Station 8
- Survey platform at Station 8
- Install base course at Stations 9, 10
- Install tree protection at Stations 9, 10
- Remove concrete pavement at Stations 10, 11
- Common excavation at Stations 10, 11
- Install inlet protection at Stations 12, 13, 14, 15
Week of Aug. 16:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 12, 13, 14, 15
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes and grounding ring at Stations 3, 4, 5
- Snowmelt inspection at Stations 3, 4
- Pour Platform at Stations 3, 4
- Form platform at Stations 6, 7, 8
- Install conduit at Stations 8, 9, 10
- Survey platform at Stations 9, 10
- Sawcutting at Stations 12, 13, 14, 15
Week of Aug. 23:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
- Form and pour curb and gutter at Stations 3, 4
- Install sidewalk at Stations 3, 4
- Install 12” Pavement at Stations 3, 4
- Backfill and restoration at Station 3
- Install shelter and pylon at Station 3
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes and grounding ring at Stations 5, 6, 7, 8
- Snowmelt inspection at Stations 5, 6
- Pour platform at Stations 5, 6
- Install trenchdrain at Station 5
