East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of August 15:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 24, 25, 30
- Install platform conduit at Stations 16, 23
- Remove concrete, form platform, and install snowmelt cables at Station 23
- Pour 12” pavement at Stations 24, 26
- Install base course, pour platform, & form and cure curb and gutter at Station 25
- Install platform ramp snowmelt and form ramps at Stations 25, 26
- Install trench drain, pour ramps, and pour sidewalk at Station 26
Week of August 22:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 25, 30
- Pour sidewalk at Stations 13, 25
- Grade, install platform conduit, and form platform at Station 16
- Install snowmelt cables at Stations 16, 23
- Survey staking, pour platform, form and pour sidewalk, & form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 23
- Pour 12” pavement and pour ramps at Station 25
- Remove street lights at Station 30
Week of August 29:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 25, 30
- Pour sidewalk at Stations 13, 25, 26
- Grade, install snowmelt cables, pour platform, & form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 16
- Pour 12” pavement at Station 23
- Remove concrete, common excavation and subgrade, & install base course at Station 26
- Install platform conduit and stump grinding at Station 30
