East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below:
Week of August 2:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
- Form platform at Stations 3, 4
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring at Station 3
- Regrade Stations 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
- Survey platform at Stations 7, 8
- Install conduit at Station 7
- Street lighting relocation at Station 8
- Remove concrete pavement at Station 9
- Common excavation at Station 9
Week of August 9:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring at Stations 3, 4
- Form and pour curb and gutter at Station 3
- Pour platform at Station 3
- Form platform at Station 4
- Install conduit at Stations 7, 8
- Install base course at Stations 9, 10
- Remove concrete pavement at Station 10
- Common excavation at Station 9, 10
Week of August 16:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
- Install sidewalk at Station 3
- Install 12” pavement at Station 3
- Form and pour curb and gutter at Station 4
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes and grounding ring at Station 5
- Pour platform at Station 4
- Form platform at Station 5
- Install conduit at Stations 9, 10
- Remove concrete pavement at Station 11
- Common excavation at Station 11
- Install base course at Station 11
