East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of Dec. 6:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 5, 10
- Install shelter and pull street light wire at Station 5
- Install concrete light pole base at Stations 10, 19
- Install sidewalk at Stations 14, 15, 17, 18, 19
- Backfill and restore & open roadway at Stations 14, 15, 17
- Install 12” pavement and grade sidewalk at Station 18
- Install conduit, regrade, form platform, survey & install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring at Station 20
Week of Dec. 13:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 18, 19, 20
- Restroom construction at Station 1
- Install sidewalk and open roadway at Stations 18, 19
- Adjust manhole, inspect snowmelt, pour platform, survey, install ramp and steps, form, pour, and cure curb and gutter & install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring at Station 20
Week of Dec. 20:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 20
- Restroom construction at Station 1
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring, inspect snowmelt, install ramp and steps, install sidewalk, install 12” pavement & form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 20
