East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of Dec. 13:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 20
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 6, 18, 19
- Restroom construction at Station 1
- Re-install signs at Station 6
- Backfill and restore Stations 18, 19
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring, adjust manhole, inspect snowmelt, pour platform, survey, install ramp and steps, install 12” pavement, & form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 20
Week of Dec. 20:
- Install permanent traffic control and restroom construction at Station 1
- Install permanent traffic control, snowmelt inspection, install ramp and steps, install sidewalk, install 12” pavement, & form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 20
Week of Dec. 27:
- Install permanent traffic control and restroom construction at Station 1
