East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of Nov. 29:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20
- Install daily traffic control at Station 17
- Install signal base at Stations 14, 15, 17
- Install sidewalk at Stations 14, 17, 19
- Form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 15
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring, snowmelt inspection, & remove pavement and pothole at Station 18
- Install ramp and steps at Stations 18, 19
- Install conduit at Stations 19, 20
- Terminate street lights at Station 20
Week of Dec. 6:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20
- Install daily traffic control at Station 17
- Install sidewalk at Stations 14, 17, 18, 19
- Form, pour, and cure curb and gutter at Station 15
- Install 12” pavement at Station 18
- Install conduit, regrade, adjust manhole, & form platform at Station 20
Week of Dec. 13:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 20
- Restroom construction at Station 1
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring, snowmelt inspection, pour platform, grade, survey, & install ramp and steps at Station 20
