East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of March 21:
- Install permanent traffic control at Station 1
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Construct restroom, excavate foundation, grade, stake survey, install vehicle charger foundation and conduit at Station 1
- Install docking guide strip at Stations 6, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Remove sidewalk at Stations 11, 12, 13, 15, 17
- Stake curb ramps at Stations 11, 12, 13, 15
- Install shelter at Stations 18, 19
Week of March 28:
- Install permanent traffic control at Station 1
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 20
- Construct restroom, install vehicle charger foundation and conduit at Station 1
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter and install sidewalk at Stations 11, 12, 13, 15
- Install 12” Pavement at Stations 11, 12, 13
- Remove sidewalk at Stations 15, 17
- Install median nose at Station 15
- Install docking guide strip at Station 17
- Grade and stake curb ramps at Station 20
Week of April 4:
- Install permanent traffic control at Station 1
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Construct restroom, grade, form platform and install conduit at Station 1
- Install shelter at Stations 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Install sidewalk at Stations 15, 20
- Install 12” pavement and median nose at Station 15
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter at Station 17
