East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of Nov. 8:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 6, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Install additional trench drain at Station 4
- Open roadway at Stations 6, 12
- Median pavement concrete work at Station 6
- Patch asphalt at Stations 10, 11, 12
- Remove sidewalk at Station 11
- Backfill and restoration at Station 12
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring & snowmelt inspection at Stations 14, 15, 17, 18
- Grade and pour platform at Stations 14, 15
- Form and pour curb and gutter & install ramp and steps at Stations 17, 19
- Install sidewalk and 12” pavement at Station 17
- Form platform at Station 18
- Install trench drain and regrade Station 19
- Street light termination at Station 20

- Install daily traffic control at Station 12
- Install 12” pavement at Stations 11, 14, 15, 19

- Survey Stations 14, 15, 18
