East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of Nov. 22:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 11, 12
- Install additional trench drain at Station 4
- Open roadway at Stations 6, 14, 15
- Backfill and restore Stations 6, 11, 12
- Install ramp and steps at Stations 14, 15, 18
- Install sidewalk at Station 14
- Patch asphalt at Stations 14, 15, 17
- Install snowmelt, pull boxes, and grounding ring & snowmelt inspection at Stations 15, 18, 19
- Form and pour curb and gutter at Stations 15, 18
- Sawcut pavement at Station 18
- Street light termination at Station 20
Week of Nov. 29:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 18, 19, 20
- Install daily traffic control and signal base & backfill and restore Stations 14, 15, 17
- Open roadway at Station 19
- Install sidewalk at Stations 14, 17, 18, 19
- Form and pour curb and gutter at Station 15
- Remove pavement and install 12” pavement at Station 18
- Install conduit at Station 19
Week of Dec. 6:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 18, 20
- Open roadway at Station 18
