East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below:
Week of Oct. 11:
- Install Permanent Traffic Control at Stations 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20
- Open roadway at Station 5
- Relocate pullbox at Station 6
- Survey Stations 6, 11, 18
- Remove Southside and Northwest pavement at Station 6
- Backfill and restoration at Station 7
- Install sidewalk, 12” pavement and form and pour curb and gutter at Stations 8, 9, 10
- Install ramp and steps at Station 9, 10
- Pour platform, install snowmelt, pullboxes, and grounding ring, snowmelt inspection and grading at Stations 11, 12
- Sewer, water main work, survey platform and install base course at Station 14
- Signal work and install sewer at Station 17
- Install conduit at Stations 17, 18, 19
- Relocate street lights at Station 18
- Terminate street lights at Stations 18, 20
- Regrade Station 19
- Street Lights (temporary) at Station 20
