East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of August 8:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 24, 25, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 30
- Install platform conduit at Station 16
- Install shelter glass at Station 21
- Survey staking at Stations 23, 25, 30
- Remove street light at Stations 23, 30
- Install platform conduit at Station 23
- Install snowmelt and sidewalk at Station 25
- Form and pour curb and gutter & pour 12” pavement at Stations 25, 26
- Install trench drain and form ramps at Station 26
- Common excavation and subgrade, remove concrete, & install base course at Station 30
Week of August 15:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 24, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 25, 30
- Pour sidewalk at Stations 13, 26
- Form platform and install snowmelt cables at Station 16
- Remove concrete at Station 23
- Install platform conduit at Stations 23, 30
- Pour 12” pavement at Stations 24, 25, 26
- Install base course, pour platform, & form and pour curb and gutter at Station 25
- Install trench drain, install platform ramp snowmelt, and pour ramps at Station 26
Week of August 22:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 25, 30
- Remove temporary asphalt, reconnect conduit, & form and pour curb and gutter at Station 13
- Install snowmelt cables and pour platform at Stations 16, 23
- Form, pour, and cure curb and gutter & grade at Station 16
- Survey staking and form platform at Station 23
- Pour 12” pavement at Station 25
- Stump grinding, form platform, and install snowmelt at Station 30
