East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of August 22:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 25, 30
- Install platform conduit, form platform, and grade Station 16
- Install snowmelt cables, pour platform, form, pour, cure curb and gutter, form and pour sidewalk, & survey staking at Station 23
- Install platform ramp snowmelt, form ramps, and pour sidewalk at Station 25
- Street Light removals at Station 30
Week of August 29:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 25, 30
- Install snowmelt cables and pour platform at Station 16
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter & pour 12” pavement at Stations 23, 25
- Pour ramps at Station 25
- Install platform ramp snowmelt, pour sidewalk, remove concrete, install base course, sewer work & common excavation and subgrade at Station 26
- Install platform conduit, stump grinding, and street light removals at Station 30
Week of September 5:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 26
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 25, 30
- Pour sidewalk at Stations 13, 25
- Grading at Station 16
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter & pour 12” pavement at Stations 16, 26
- Form and pour sidewalk at Station 23
- Sewer work at Station 26
- Install platform conduit at Station 30
- Common excavation and subgrade, install base course & remove concrete and street lights at Station 31
