Construction Update

East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center. 

Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below. 

Week of October 31:

  • Install permanent traffic control at Stations 22, 27
  • Install daily traffic control at Stations 19, 23, 30, 31
  • Pour 12” pavement at Stations 19, 31
  • Pour sidewalk at Stations 25, 30
  • Install snowmelt and pour platform at Station 27
  • Install snowmelt ramps at Stations 30, 31
  • Pour ramps at Station 30
  • Form, pour, cure curb and gutter & form ramps at Station 31

Week of November 7:

  • Install permanent traffic control at Stations 22, 27
  • Install daily traffic control at Stations 23, 30, 31
  • Restoration at Station 23
  • Pour sidewalk at Stations 23, 30, 31
  • Form and pour curb and gutter, form platform ramps & grade at Station 27
  • Pour 12” pavement at Stations 27, 31
  • Pour ramps at Stations 30, 31
  • Install snowmelt ramps at Station 31

Week of November 14:

  • Install permanent traffic control at Station 27
  • Install daily traffic control at Stations 30, 31
  • Install snowmelt platform ramps, pour platform ramps, and pour sidewalk at Station 27
