East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is Milwaukee County’s planned 9-mile regional, modern transit service connecting downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee’s Near West Side, Marquette University, Wauwatosa and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
Although on-site crews may occasionally communicate specific impacts to your property, a general outline of what to expect in the coming weeks is listed below.
Week of September 19:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 22, 27
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 25, 26, 30, 31
- Install overhead charger at Station 1
- Install city street light connection at Station 13
- Pour 12” pavement at Stations 16, 26
- Form ramps at Station 16
- Form platform and install snowmelt system at Station 22
- Survey staking and grade at Stations 27, 30
- Remove concrete, common excavation and subgrade & install base course at Station 27
- Remove street lights at Stations 27, 31
- Remove platform forms and adjust conduit at Station 30
- Install platform conduit at Station 31
Week of September 26:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 22, 27
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31
- City street light connection at Station 13
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter at Stations 13, 22
- Install platform ramp snowmelt, pour ramps, and pour sidewalk at Station 16
- Grade at Stations 22, 27, 30, 31
- Pour platform at Station 22
- Set shelter at Stations 23, 24, 25, 26
- Remove street lights at Station 27
- Install platform conduit at Stations 27, 31
- Survey staking, form platform, and install snowmelt at Stations 30, 31
- Adjust conduit at Station 30
Week of October 3:
- Install permanent traffic control at Stations 1, 13, 22, 27
- Install daily traffic control at Stations 16, 30, 31
- Install 12” pavement, form ramps, install platform ramp snowmelt, and pour sidewalk at Station 22
- Form platform at Stations 27, 30
- Install snowmelt at Stations 27, 30, 31
- Install trench drain at Station 30
- Form, pour, cure curb and gutter & grade at Station 31
